Reasons you should be Canceling Sessions
1. The student called/messaged ahead of their session and told you they would not be making that pre-arranged date/time.
2. The student was a no-show for their appointment.
3. The ability to test the student is no longer available. (EX. Personal reasons or weather-related issues)
WHY CANCEL THE SESSION?
Canceling the session will allow the student to reschedule for a different date and time. Without canceling the session, the student cannot reschedule and may miss the testing window.
How to Cancel a Session in SmarterProctoring
1. Log into your SmarterProctoring Proctor account at proctor.smarterproctoring.com
2. Once on the account page, you will need to click on the SESSIONS tab, on the left-side of the screen.
3. From that report, you will locate the student you need to cancel the session for. Click on their name to proceed.
4. A new window will appear, and you will find the CANCEL SESSION button at the bottom of the window (the only one with red text).
5. Clicking on the cancel session button will make a new window appear and you will need to click Cancel Session again to proceed.
6. Choose a reason for canceling the session from the dropdown.
7. Once selected, click Cancel Session to complete the process.
8. After cancelling the session, the student and the session will only be able to be found by searching either the student or for canceled sessions.
