Faculty/Instructors
Within the first few days of each course start date, It is critical that you :
-Login to SmarterProctoring for each course that you are instructing.
-Create a demo exam for each course.
-Report any issues that you experience to our helpdesk team so that the SmarterProctoring Support team has the opportunity to resolve the issue well in advance of your exams.

-Be sure to factor in a 15-minute window for onboarding, when setting up your settings window.
-Make sure you have the correct URL to the assessment in the URL field in SmarterProctoring
-The password to the assessment MUST match the password input to SmarterProctoring exactly.
-DO NOT edit exam details within 24 hours of the testing window.
-If you are offering your students a .PDF or URL as a permitted item, be sure to disable the “Force Full Screen” and “Disable New Tabs” buttons from the Automated Proctoring Settings page.
-Make sure that the exam is not TOO STRICT for the assessment you are giving, but ensure that proper settings are enabled to monitor the student as desired.
Students
Within the first few days of each course start date it is critical that you :
-Install/Upgrade the Google Chrome Web Browser Version 74 or above if it is not pre-existing on your laptop or desktop computer.
-Use Google Chrome to Login to SmarterProctoring for each course that you are enrolled in. You will need to follow all prompts including agreeing to terms of use, installing the SmarterProctoring Chrome Extension.
-Complete any demo exams that were assigned to you.
-Report any issues that you experience to the SmarterProctoring Support team, so that they have the opportunity to resolve the issue well in advance of your exam(s).

-You may use the support button (chat) or the help button (email) to contact us.
-You CANNOT use tablets or phones for automated proctoring. Only laptops (Mac, PC or Chromebook) or desktops (Mac or PC) are allowed.
-You need to close out of all other open programs, to ensure that the computer is not slowed down when taking an exam.
-When Testing try your best not to cover your face during the session. For example - do not cover your face with your hand while leaning on the desk or table you are working at.
